Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1 Arrival & Transfer to Sigiriya
Warm welcome at Colombo airport by Franky Tours. Transfer to the fortress town of Sigiriya. Spend the evening resting in a tropical resort.
Day 2 Sigiriya Lion Rock & Dambulla Caves
Climb the 5th-century Sigiriya Rock Fortress in the cool morning. In the afternoon, explore the magnificent Dambulla Cave Temple complex containing over 150 gold Buddha statues.
Day 3 Polonnaruwa Medieval City Ruins
Cycle through the ancient ruins of Polonnaruwa, seeing the royal palace, Gal Vihara stone carvings, and massive dagobas. Experience a traditional village lunch nearby.
Day 4 Spice Gardens & Kandy Royal City
Drive south to Kandy, stopping at a Matale spice garden. In Kandy, witness a traditional cultural dance show and visit the sacred Temple of the Tooth Relic during evening prayers.
Day 5 Royal Botanical Gardens & Nuwara Eliya
Stroll through Peradeniya Botanical Gardens. Take a scenic drive into tea country, visit a tea factory for leaf-plucking and tasting, and stay overnight in Nuwara Eliya.
Day 6 Scenic Train Ride to Kandy & Shopping
Board the legendary blue train from Nanu Oya for a breathtaking ride through tea hills. Upon returning to Kandy, enjoy a leisurely evening shopping for gems, silk, and crafts.
Day 7 Colombo City & Departure
Drive to Colombo for a sightseeing tour including Galle Face Green and Independence Square, followed by airport transfer.
